Kajian Potensi Pembangkit Tenaga Listrik Mikrohidro (PLTMH) Indragiri Hulu

Pembangkit tenaga listrik dengan sumber energi air berkapasitas kecil (mikrohidro dengan kapasitas < 1 MW) sangat tepat dikembangkan untuk menjangkau kebutuhan energi listrik di daerah terpencil atau sulit dijangkau. Potensi pembangkit listrik tenaga mikrohidro (PLTMH) di Indonesia hingga saat ini belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal karena keterbatasan informasi mengenai data dan potensi PLTMH. Dengan kondisi tersebut, pemerintah sesuai dengan amanat UU No. 30/2007 tentang energi telah memberi perhatian khusus terhadap pemanfaatan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTMH), khususnya ditujukan untuk daerah terpencil/ tertinggal.
Penelitian kali ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi pembangkit tenaga listrik mikrohidro dari sisi potensi pembangkitan daya dan stabilitas lereng. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa potensi pembangkitan daya di daerah penelitian maksimal 38,11 kW dan minimum 11,92 kW. Kondisi kestabilan lereng sangat baik dengan faktor safety diatas 1,3.
