Abstract

Aplikasi sistem SCADA menggunakan protokol konversi RS-232 ke RS-422 dan Wonderware Intouch dalam jaringan PLC OMRON CPM2A. Sistem ini mampu mengatur, memonitoring dan mengendalikan komunikasi antar PLC dalam satu jaringan RS-422 dengan Human to Machine Interface (HMI) sebagai interfacenya dengan biaya yang lebih murah. Sistem ini menggunakan RS-422 sebagai protokol komunikasinya karena mendukung komunikasi jarak jauh multidrop sehingga komputer server dapat mengontrol beberapa PLC dan mengatur komunikasi antara PLC tersebut. Pengguna dapat memasukan set point langsung melalui HMI dan membaca database yang disimpan di dalam file Microsoft Access.
