MENGENAL KILANG PENGOLAHAN MINYAK BUMI (REFINERY) DI INDONESIA
Abstract
Pengolahan adalah kegiatan utama dalam kegiatan usaha industri hilir minyak dan gas bumi, pengolahan bertujuan untuk memurnikan minyak mentah (crude oil) menjadi produkproduk Bahan Bakar BBM (BBM) dan Non Bahan Bakar Minyak (Non BBM) bernilai tinggi yang sangat dibutuhkan masyaraka. Pengolahan Minyak Bumi dilakukan di kilang-kilang baik yang di operasikan Oleh Pertamina, Pemerintah dan swasta yang tersebar diseluruh wilayah Indonesia bertujuan untuk memenuhi pasokan BBM Nasional. Hampir 99% kebutuhan BBM Nasional yang diolah di dalam negeri diolah di kilang (Refinery Unit) yang dioperasikan oleh PT Pertamina (Persero) sementara sisanya di kilang Pemerintah dan Swasta
