PENENTUAN SEBARAN ASPAL MENGGUNAKAN METODE GEOLISTRIK TAHANAN JENIS DI LOKASI WKP PT. “X” KABUPATEN BUTON
Abstract
Aspal adalah cairan yang sangat kental berwarna coklat sampai kehitaman yang hampir seluruhnya tersusun dari unsur karbon dan hydrogen. Aspal alam terbentuk di dalam batuan pembawa minyak yang terjadi sebagai akibat perubahan minyak bumi karena tidak adanya batuan penutup (Cap rocks). Pulau Buton adalah salah satu penghasil aspal alam di dunia yang berkualitas tinggi. Batuan reservoir dari larutan aspal di Buton berasal dari Formasi Tondo dan Formasi Sampolakosa. Metode geolistrik tahanan jenis terbukti cukup mampu untuk memetakan sebaran kandungan aspal yang ada di bawah permukaan bumi.
