Mengenal Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Sebagai Solusi Meningkatkan Produksi Minyak
Abstract
Produksi minyak dari sebuah reservoir secara alami pasti akan mengalami penurunan atau bahkan tidak dapat menghasilkan sama sekali. Kondisi tersebut tidak serta merta menggambarkan bahwa cadangan minyak di dalam reservoir sudah habis. Jika hanya mengandalkan metoda produksi primer kemungkinan besar masih sangat banyak minyak tersisa di reservoir, untuk itu diperlukan metoda produksi lanjutan untuk bisa menguras minyak yang masih banyak tersisa di reservoir. Metoda Enhanced Oli Recovery (EOR) akan memberikan solusi pengurasan terhadap minyak yang masih ada di dalam reservoir yang tidak dapat diambil dengan produksi primer. Namun untuk menerapkan metoda EOR diperlukan pemilihan yang tepat (screening) sehingga hasil yang didapatkan dapat optimum sesuai dengan biaya yang dikeluarkan.
