Studi Kelayakan Penerapan IoT pada Sistem Pemantauan Boiler untuk Integrasi ke DCS

Pemantauan kondisi boiler di banyak fasilitas industri migas hingga saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual oleh operator, sehingga frekuensi pengecekan tidak selalu konsisten dan potensi keterlambatan dalam mendeteksi perubahan kondisi cukup besar. Dengan semakin berkembangnya kebutuhan digitalisasi proses, teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) menawarkan pendekatan yang lebih terhubung dan real-time serta berpeluang untuk diintegrasikan dengan Distributed Control System (DCS). Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai kelayakan penerapan IoT sebagai langkah awal modernisasi sistem pemantauan boiler dengan mengacu pada data dan temuan selama kegiatan Kerja Praktik, dokumen teknis boiler, ketentuan pada Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL) 2020, serta berbagai literatur terkait IoT industri dan integrasi sistem kontrol. Analisis dilakukan melalui perbandingan antara kondisi pemantauan eksisting dan kebutuhan ideal apabila sistem ditargetkan dapat terhubung ke DCS, mencakup aspek teknis, operasional, keamanan data, dan potensi manfaat yang dapat diperoleh. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahwa penerapan IoT dinilai cukup layak untuk diimplementasikan sebagai tahap awal digitalisasi pemantauan boiler, dengan perhatian khusus pada pemilihan sensor, protokol komunikasi, dan pengaman data. Penelitian ini juga merumuskan konsep arsitektur IoT serta tahapan yang dapat dijadikan dasar untuk rencana integrasi sistem pemantauan boiler menuju DCS.
