Analisis Evaporation Loss Tangki Timbun Pertasol CA (T-116) dan Pertasol CB (T-110) melalui Studi Eksperimental dan Pemodelan Matematis di Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Minyak dan Gas Bumi (PPSDM Migas)

Kehilangan produk akibat penguapan (evaporation loss) merupakan salah satu tantangan signifikan dalam sistem penyimpanan migas, khususnya pada tangki timbun tipe atap tetap (fixed roof tank). Penguapan ini terjadi karena fluktuasi suhu lingkungan dan aktivitas pengisian serta pengosongan tangki yang menyebabkan terbentuknya uap hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PPSDM MIGAS Cepu dengan fokus pada dua tangki timbun, yaitu Tangki T-116 untuk Pertasol CA dan Tangki T-110 untuk Pertasol CB. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menganalisis besar evaporation loss yang terjadi serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang memengaruhi nilainya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung terhadap suhu lingkungan, level cairan tangki (ullage), volume throughput, serta spesifikasi teknis tangki. Analisis dilakukan dengan pendekatan matematis menggunakan acuan API MPMS Chapter 19.2 dan API Bulletin 2523 untuk menghitung dua komponen utama evaporation loss, yaitu breathing loss dan working loss. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa Tangki T-116 mengalami kehilangan sebesar 233,905 bbl/tahun, sedangkan Tangki T-110 sebesar 34,021 bbl/tahun. Kerugian finansial total akibat kehilangan ini mencapai lebih dari Rp275 juta per tahun. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik produk dan intensitas throughput memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap besarnya penguapan. Rekomendasi utama yang disarankan adalah pemasangan sistem pengendali emisi seperti Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) untuk menekan kehilangan produk dan dampak lingkungan.
