Perhitungan Efisiensi Boiler TWA dengan Metode secara Tidak Langsung

Efisiensi boiler merupakan indikator utama dalam menentukan kinerja operasional sistem boiler di industri, termasuk di PPSDM MIGAS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung efisiensi Boiler TWA dengan metode tidak langsung, yang mempertimbangkan kerugian panas untuk mengidentifikasi potensi peningkatan kinerja. Berdasarkan kajian pustaka, metode tidak langsung dinilai lebih akurat dalam mengevaluasi efisiensi karena mempertimbangkan parameter seperti suhu dan komposisi gas buang, kelembaban udara, dan kerugian panas lainnya. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2024 melalui survei, observasi langsung, dan studi literatur. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan efisiensi Boiler TWA sebesar 83,19%, yang masih berada dalam batas efisiensi minimum sebesar 75% menurut ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) PTC 4. Namun, hasil ini belum mencapai tingkat efisiensi tertinggi yang mungkin dicapai. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penurunan efisiensi termasuk kebocoran pada tabung, kerak pada pipa, dan ketidaklancaran aliran fluida. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun efisiensi Boiler TWA memenuhi persyaratan operasional, perbaikan lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja.
